Our preschool kids are excited about Christmas, which comes with Santa, reindeer, and gifts. Having Christmas activities for preschoolers will be a great idea. As in this month, a Jingle of energy resounds with chilled air, leaving us in a cozy environment dressed in our winter clothes, making preparations for Christmas, buying Christmas trees, decorating them beautifully, and preparing thoughtful gifts for friends and family. For our kids to make Christmas memorable and playful, we can plan various preschool Christmas crafts and activities and make arrangements for them.

Here are the eight arts and crafts activities you can include for your preschooler for the month of Christmas.

1. Christmas Tree Activity for Preschoolers

Material required:

  • Christmas Tree
  • Decorative materials-construction paper, glue, glitter, markers & crayons, ribbon scissors
  • Water
  • Preservatives
  • Plastic trees are also available in the market if one cannot choose a real tree.

How to Decorate:

  • Make simple Christmas Paper Designs: Make the shape of bells, stars, gifts, Santa hats, and trees from design papers, and discuss its usage and significance with the kid.

  • Message: Help children write a message on the card, teach them to show gratitude, and send well wishes. Discuss ways to write gratitude and well-wishing messages.
  • Send: Help them post the cards to family members, relatives, nursing homes, or nursing homes nearby, teaching them the value of spreading happiness.

  • If they can give the right number of candies matching the cards, ask them to eat those candies or make it a takeaway for them as a reward or right guesswork.

Observation

This activity will help children in number recognition and logic maths; matching the number to the number of candies will improve their mental skills. Preschoolers have great enjoyment in doing this activity. It’s an engaging Christmas project for preschoolers.

5. Christmas Carols Sing Along

  • Find a simple and easy-to-learn Christmas carol and print it on the sheet
  • Simple instrument

  • Find popular and easy carols such as “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” “Jingle Bell,” or “Frosty the Snowman” and provide the children to memorize them.
  • Gather the children and ask them to sing together using the instruments. It will make them feel excited.

  • Ask them to find the named word picture and collect the found cards.
  • Reward the child who was able to find the maximum number of cards.
